So, in Provo there are mostly college students. It is rare to see a resident who is over the age of 30. When me and my roommates moved into our house this semester we found out a women and her daughter lived in the basement. We were fine with it, but we thought it a little strange; she's not Mormon, not married, and not a student, living in Provo, but we were fine with it. But now it turns out she is completely crazy; OFF HER ROCKER!!! And she is driving me crazy. At first we started noticing little things, like she would come upstairs to borrow our phone and our can opener (who doesn't have a phone or can opener). Then, our clothes detergent started disappearing (she does laundry every day, with our detergent). Then a grocery cart showed up in our yard. And then another. And then another. We currently have two grocery carts in our front yard. We look white trash, in a town where every yard is pristine and there isn't a scrap of liter anywhere. We often get strange visitors, like the school district's truent officers looking for crazy's daughter because she had failed to enroll her in school. Crazy people shouldn't be allowed to have kids. Her newest trick is turning off our furnace in the middle of the night so when we wake up in the morning our house is 50 degrees. Frankly speaking, we are scared of her. But I must say it gives my life an urban feel. If I were living in NYC or Seattle I would be surrounded by crazy. There is an upside to everything.
